Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are your advantages?

We are flexible, responsive, and creative. We have extensive experience and knowledge. Each customer request is treated individually. We look for the best solutions together with the buyer and we develop new applications.  We adapt the product to the desired purpose. We strive towards innovation and constant improvements. We are aware that success is the result of teamwork.  We emphasise product quality and safety. We are prudent and we act responsibly towards nature, the environment, and the local community.

2. How do we incorporate your suspensions into our products?

Cinkarna Celje suspensions are water-based, so the coating system must also be water-based in order for these systems to be compatible.

It is best to add our suspensions when water is added to the material or when the viscosity of the end material is the lowest.

3. Do you also manufacture solvent-based suspensions?

All of our products are only available as stabilised water suspensions.

4. Do you provide dry ultrafine materials?

We currently offer our users only UF materials as water suspensions. The development of dry ultrafine materials is in its final stage and they will be available on the market soon.

5. What is the shelf life of your products?

The expiry date for our UF products is at least 18 months.

6. Are your products user friendly and environmentally friendly?

Even though our materials are not harmful for users and the environment upon normal use, we pay special attention to measures for ensuring minimum exposure of production workers, users, and the environment.  We use technological solutions, constant product improvements, and an open dialogue with users to prove that we act responsibly towards people and the environment.  Nonetheless, we carefully monitor the latest findings in the field of safe handling of ultrafine materials and we introduce any such findings that are reasonable for us into practice.

7. How can photocatalytic products be used in construction materials?

They can be used in two ways – as an active layer or an active coating. Such construction materials can effectively remove various pollutants from the air, resulting in reduced economic and social costs due to environmental pollution.

 8. Is the use of ultrafine TiOin cosmetics safe?

The use of ultrafine TiO2 as UV protection in cosmetics does not pose any risk for consumers. As of July 2016, an EU regulation has been in effect allowing the use of nano TiO2 as a UV filter in cosmetics.  Please click the following link to find the regulation.
